      4. Description of the procurement:
         

         The contracting authority plans to conclude a framework contract for the provision of cleaning services, in accordance with the specifications set out in the procurement documents.The delegation premise comprise a total space of 8 064,82 m2 which includes reception, corridors, offices, conference and meeting rooms, toilets, kitchens, archive, storage and equipment rooms, mail room, parking spaces etc.The contractor must provide the human and material resources necessary to provide cleaning services. The contractor will be responsible for the cleaning of all areas of the delegation during the opening hours of the delegation, from 7.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, Friday from 7.00 a.m.-2.00 p.m. except Europe day 9th May and public holidays. The services will finish, at the latest, 30 minutes before closing hours of the delegation. The service which entails the use of noisy equipment, such as vacuum cleaning, cannot be performed between 10.00 a.m. and 16.00 p.m. Occasionally, some services will need to be performed outside the normal hours. The frequency of tasks is divided into daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly service. Those services which are not to be performed at a fixed frequency are defined as ad-hoc services.The place of performance is Nairobi.
