Re-advertisement: Proposals are hereby invited for the following: East London gas and flammable stores, fuel tanks. Scope: • Assess the condition of the existing Gas and Flammable storage at the East London facility. • Sub contract a Fire Engineer (if not in-house available); • Sub contract an Environmental Practitioner (if not in-house available); • Fire Engineer to survey the area and create as-build drawings; • Propose corrections to comply with the required legislation; • Alter the as build drawings to include the corrective measures; • Prepare all detail design documentation and obtain approvals from the relevant authorities; • Prepare construction documentation; • Oversee and manage the proposed corrections (Construction supervision for the project); • Prepare templates for all areas as per requirement for future use by SABS. These are the documents that SABS must maintain after completion of the project to keep the area compliant; • Obtain all required permits and certificates for the gas, flammable liquids and the chemicals used; • Existing pumps and tanks to be removed and replaced with 7 off tanks for use of Diesel or Petrol; • There should be 10 off bowser to dispense 10 off products; • Allowance for 2 off waste oil tanks (also underground) and pump to suction product for disposal; • Fire Department requires hydrants to be installed. Tenders are hereby invited for the provision of rigging services and crane hire services for Export, Transnet SOC Ltd Operating as Transnet Port Terminals at the Port of Richards Bay for four (4) months service contract. Scope: 1. Provide rigging services and crane hire to the DBT and MPT technical teams on request; 2. Be able to provide the following crane sizes on an ad hoc basis to TPT: - 8 tons, 16 tons, 20 tons, 30 tons, 35 tons, 50 tons, 80 tons, 90 tons, 100 tons, 120 tons, 160 tons, 200 tons, 220 tons and 250 tons; 3. The service provider will be expected to conduct rigging studies and risk assessments before conducting any lifting; 4. The service provider will be expected to ensure that all rigging equipment are certified (load tested) and properly inspected prior to using them as per the OHS Act No. 85 of 1993 or latest; 5. The service provider will be expected to provide a minimum of three (3) rigging crews at any given time. These will be shared between the TPT’s maintenance teams and the standby team.
