Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Rehabilitation of staircases, steel handrail, concrete elements on four PRASA bridges, removal of steel panels at various bridges and paint steel panels. Scope of works: • Steel and concrete remedials (all replacement steel to be grade 350W); • Repair badly corroded double sections of 60mm x 10mm horizontal flat bar on both sides of each staircase panel; • Remove and replace (with the new ones) badly corroded upright handrails bars on both sides of each staircase panel; • Remove badly corroded rivets. Replace these and missing with new HSFG friction bolts M20, this is to include proper repairs to the surrounding metal surfaces, etc; 5 Install 254 x 146 x 31kg/m universal I beam underneath bridge staircases & welded to underside of existing steel bridge & bolted to columns with 4M16, Gr 8.8 galvanized bolts per connection; • Install 90 x 65 x 6mm x 7,07kg/m Angle cross bracing & gusset plates; • Repair badly corroded sections columns supporting the staircase panels on both sides of each staircase panel for proper staircase supports; • Break and repair concrete base of the I beam column and repair base plates with bolts for proper staircase supports; • Break damaged and replace missing 213cm long concrete staircases; • Patch repair tar on only broken arears; • Supply Opti rust Busta® or Noxyde paint and coat at 400 microns – minimum on I beams and handrails for corrosion protection; • Allow for the supply and delivery of new steel (or material) for the works to be carried out to the bridge; • Break loose concrete on railings up to the reinforcements depth; • Repair concrete on railings up to the base level; • Replace badly corroded sections of railings on both sides of the bridge; • Supply Opti rust Busta® or Noxyde paint and coat at 400 microns – minimum on I beams and handrails for corrosion protection; • Patch repair tar on only broken arrears; • Replace with the new 0,6m EPS; • Replace with the new 2,3m EPS; • Screed surface using a 4:1 (concrete sand: CEM 132,5 cement) screed mix 50mm thick and lay asphalt surfacing on bridge decks (using 35/50 pen modified binder with a fine grade size of aggregate); • Apply waterproofing membrane bitumen 5000 to screed surface and apply 20mm thick premix layer at 150° Celsius; • Supply and install drainage holes to bridge deck to match existing; • Binder variations of 35/50; • Supply Opti rust Busta® or Noxyde paint and coat at 400 microns – minimum on I beams and handrails for corrosion protection.
