Re-advertisement: Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Provision for maintenance repairs replacements and breakdowns of plant type aircon units at Richards Bay, Empangeni and surrounding areas for a 36-month period on s and when basis. Scope of work: The scope of work to be performed under this contract shall be the preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance of the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system compromising the equipment listed in the inventors list together with at ancillary equipment and measurements necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the installation. This shall include piping controls, instruments safety devices, fire control and pressure regulating dampers air distribution equipment and electrical switchboards specifically for these systems including at wiring and switchgear on the load side of the main incoming isolators including minor new works therefore the following is agreed between the contractor and the employer. This service covers the preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance replacement of faulty/worn out components and adjustable in situ and on a planned basis for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning plant system in the affected property as described in the annexures and any other documents to the scope of work or any other work arising out of or incidental required of the contractor for the proper completion of the service in accordance to the true meaning and intent of the contract. Proposals are hereby requested for the following: Provision of security services for the Phelophepha Project for the operational years 2024/2025, 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 for the period of (three years). Scope of work: • The Phelophepa Project (both trains) is operational every year from January to October. Security services are required for twelve months per year, even when then trains are not operational, • During the ten months operational period the security personnel will stay on the trains, travelling to all the stations the trains visit. Each train visits at least four provinces per year (please see the attached routes for current year and note that the routes for 2025, 2026 and 2027 will be shared once they are available), • During the three months non-operational period the two Phelophepa trains are usually parked at Transnet Engineering (TE) in Salt River Cape Town. During this period the service provider will have to provide accommodation, meals and transport for the security officials as they will not be able to stay on the trains during this period, • Fifteen (15) security officials are required on each of the two Phelophepa trains, including a supervisor for each train. Accommodation and meals are provided on the trains for the security officials by Transnet for the ten months operational period. The service provider must provide the necessary resources for travel arrangements when security officials take leave to go home, • Each Phelophepa train visits at least four provinces and twenty different stations in a single operational year. Each station is different, and the security officials must adjust to the changing environment and always liaise with the local SAPS, municipality and Transnet security at each station.
