Bids are hereby invited for the following: Appointment of a service provider to (1) write, edit, design, layout a professional strategic publication that condenses all relevant strategies and plans for South African National Parks (SAN Parks) to be used as an external and internal tool for engagements with public and private business, relevant organisations, as well as an internal guide for the management of SAN Parks and (2) write and edit the SAN Parks 5 year strategy. Scope of work: The service provider will be required to do, amongst others, the following: • Meet with the CEO and Project Team in an opening meeting, • Attend 3 workshops ( over 4 separate days) with EXCO, The SANParks Board and identified staff. These workshops will be facilitated by another service provider and there will have to be close co-operation between the writer and the facilitator, • Conduct fifteen (15) of one-on-one interviews with all Managing Executives (MEs), Heads of Divisions, key General Managers (GMs) and subject specialists to identify and draft content for both the 5 year strategy and green book, • Conduct a desk top analysis on the key/critical strategic documents as per above and further listing by relevant MEs and HODs, • Extract and retain key elements of the key/critical/strategic documents, consolidate, condense and refine into a draft green book document. Each area should be condensed into a maximum of 20 to 30 pages, • Draft the 5-year strategy according to all relevant guidelines. • The extraction and retention of the key elements of the documents as referred to above will be in consultation with the function leads, • Present drafts to EXCO, • Finalise documents.
