Quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of a service provider for the execution of pauper burials for a period of one year from date of appointment. Scope of work: Provision of Pauper/Indigent Burial Services to the municipal community. The RFQ includes for the provision of pauper burials for deceased who died within the boundaries of the municipal area: • The grooming and burying of pauper adults and children in graves provided free of charge in the municipal area, • Collection and transport of mortal remains from SAPS morgue, Forensics Pathology, or from any other address within the municipal area, • Preparation and grooming of corpses, • Collection of body and transportation, • All services used in connection with the receiving, storage and preparation of human remains at the undertaker’s premises or mortuary, • Pauper burials may be accommodated in any section of a cemetery, or at the discretion of the Municipal Official/Cemetery Caretaker, • The execution of pauper burials for people who qualify for such services, • Pauper burials for 0 -12 years, • Pauper burials for 12 years and older, • The quotation should include the complete burial, coffin, transport and grave marking with personal details of the deceased, • It will be required of the successful tenderer to have an operation warehouse/workshop in within the municipality. Proof to this effect must be attached to the bidding document. • The services will be rendered within municipal area which includes Karatara, Rheenendal, Knysna, • The rates supplied will be fixed for the duration of the contract. All costs (labour, material, and transport) must be included in the price. No escalation of costs on any of the items will be allowed during the tender period, tenderers must take note of this when they quote, • Bidders must quote for all line items in the pricing schedule, failure to do so, will result in a bidders bid not being considered for further evaluation.
