Addendum: Extended of closing date. Proposals are hereby invited for the Removal of Illegally Dumped Waste on an as and when required basis in the Port of Durban for a Period of Three (03) Months. Scope of work: - The Service provider shall provide general cleaning of the verges and open field etc, sweeping of the road and gutter; - All accumulated waste to be collected from clients sites and roads and waste to be disposed to a municipal legal dumping site. The Service Provider will be required to produce a waste disposal certificate for each disposal; - If any carcasses of dead animals are found anywhere on site it must be reported to the Project Manager immediately, who in turn will arrange for the proper disposal of the said; - Should there be any medical waste, it should be double bagged, or if there are sharps it needs to be placed in a sharp’s medical container and brought to the clinic; - The waste tyres should be collected from around the Port precincts and will be placed at clients sites within the Port.
