Scope: - Perform a full range of varied and responsible process, and project engineering/management, work independently requiring a high level of judgement and independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation, of standard techniques, and where required, devising new improved approaches to meet unique situations; - Involvement in work where no clear precedents exists, and which requires going beyond existing parameters and adaptation of plans to fit the situation, always bearing in mind the end objectives, and the underlying reason for them; - Execute the delivery of assigned activities and projects at the appropriate levels of quality, in time and within budget, in accordance with the Programme Master Plan; - Develop pre-project recommendations into project scopes of work, functional and detailed requirements (including process calculations and drawings development, technical specifications, tender documents preparations and functional level business case development); - Interface with the other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, automation, architectural and civil), Multi-stakeholder Project Teams (Scientists and Water Quality experts, Asset Engineers/Managers, SHEQ, EMS, Operations, Maintenance, Legals, Supply Chain Management, Professorial Chairs and research partners), Consultants, and Contractors to accomplish completely integrated project delivery; - Review project team members’ inputs/outputs for technical accuracy, adequacy, and compliance with standards, organizational procedures and best practices; - Conduct/Participate in scoping meetings, reviews, engineering studies/evaluations, site activities and project execution activities; - Provided value-add and input towards improving the section’s policies, systems and procedures; - Identify Innovation improvement opportunities and projects for the business resulting in greater effectiveness and efficiencies for Rand Water; - Be required to provide technical or project based reports to management as well as other areas of the business, on which Rand Water may base significant decisions. Scope of Work: The appointed service provider will be expected to develop and provide a training manual in business management skills. Proposals are hereby invited for the following: Appointment of a panel of legal services for a duration of three years. The legal service providers on the panel will assist the PSETA Accounting Authority, the PSETA Executive Management Team and the PSETA Legal Services Unit where capacity and/or expertise requires the involvement of external legal services providers to provide support to the PSETA on and ad hoc basis for specific instructions. The scope of work covers the following: - Providing litigation services, which may include appearances in various courts of law, as and when instructed by PSETA in various areas of the law; - Providing legal opinions and legal advice to the PSETA Accounting Authority and the PSETA Executive Management Team in various areas of the law; - Advising and representing PSETA in various employment law matters, which may include the CCMA, the Labour Court, and the Labour Appeal Court; - Assisting with the drafting and/or vetting of complex contracts, agreements; policy documents and/or any other documents of a legal nature; - Presiding over or prosecuting disciplinary hearings on behalf of PSETA; - Investigating allegations of misconduct, drafting charges, prosecuting, and leading evidence on behalf of PSETA in disciplinary hearings, arbitrations, courts of law or any other forum or commission; - Chairing of the PSETA Collective Bargaining Committee between PSETA and the recognized trade union, as per the Recognition Agreement; and - Attending to any other matters related to legal issues within PSETA.
