Proposals are hereby requested for the following: Supply and delivery of firearms (671 x CZ75 PO7, 9 x 19MM-P Handguns, 29 x Glock 19 Generation, 5 9 x 19MM-P Handguns, 52 x 12 Gauge Mossberg 590A1 9 Shot Shotguns and 50 x LM5 5.56 x 45 Rifles) plus related accessories to Transnet Freight Rail in Gauteng Province. Scope: Spare parts for repairs, after-market accessories, ammunition, retention holster upgrades, and maintenance must be readily available in South Africa (SA). The firearm must be provided with related carry case, cleaning kit, and owner’s manual. The firearm must have at least 01 x spare magazine (same capacity) as supplied by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The firearms must be of robust quality finishing to avoid corrosion and with minimum operating parts to complicate the handling under duress. Transnet prefers the types of firearms below. No alternative brands will be accepted. Any deviation from the specified brands will lead to automatic disqualification from the tender: • CZ75 PO7, 9 x 19mm-P handgun; • Glock 19 Gen 5, 9 x 19mm-P handgun; • Semi-automatic LM5 5.56 x 45 rifle; and • 12 Gauge Mossberg 590-A1-9-shot shotgun; The firearms must be supplied with the related accessories below: • Carry case; • Cleaning kit; • Magazine pouch; and • Spare magazine.
